Depends on what it is and your values.
I generally quit tiny things pretty easily since they are not worth the stress. Larger things or bigger deals I rarely give up though.

It depends on the context.
A uni course, job, close relationship, specific ambition?
In general- if your physical safety or mental health are at risk.

Not giving up is a good idea, but if something isn't necessary to school or anything and you physically/mentally can't do it for whatever reason, then I think it's fine to leave it.
