Hey everyone! I had my assessment today and passed! Thanks so much for all your advice and help over the past few days!
If there is anyone who has an assessment for a 999/101 Communications Officer, I will be posting some info here on how the day went and what to focus on in your preparation. Also feel free to message me

Well done, I'm really pleased for you. I have just received my assessment invite and now need to book a slot. May I ask what the typing testbwas like and also the presentation?

Hi, no I have applied for the position in South London, Lambeth area. I'm actually thinking really hard about if I really want to do this job as I have been on Glassdoor and seen a lot of negative reviews about the role and also about the way it can effect your mental health when dealing so much negativity every day. The last think I want tobdo isbgo for this job and end up regretting it.
Thank you for your feedback, it was really appreciated.

Hey, did you attend the assessment centre in the end? I've mine at Hendon coming up and would love to check with someone who has recently gone for it.

I’ve recently successfully completed the initial assessment stage for a 999 call handler job for Merseyside police and have been invited in for a medical assessment, just wondering what this sort of assessment is would consist of? I’m assuming I won’t be required to do any strenuous exercise but I don’t want to be unprepared for whatever they throw at me.

Hiya, what was the outcome?
And how soon after the assessments was the medical test?

Hi! i have my assessment centre coming up soon for WMP. Just wondering if anyone has recently attended the assessment centre and could give some up to date tips and up to date information on what is involved. In my email it states that there is 4 assessment tasks which are 1) evidencing your ability to prioritise an incident and record the rationale behind your decision 2) communications task 3) typing speed and accuracy tasks 4) teamwork task
Just wondering if i anyone knows what the communication and teamwork tasks involve ??? Would be hugely appreciated.
