I had my Day 3 (medical) today for the MET CC.

After the medical I was instructed to head over to an assessment center 15 or so minutes down the road (had picture of documents and ID taken) - was unaware of this part, other candidates also unaware as no mention in email or candidate portal. Communication should improve.

Hey everyone! I know this is an old post, but was wondering if anyone had any information about the assessment centre? Interview questions, what the day entailed and so on!

Thanks in advance

Hey Mariyam,
Which stage was this assessment at?

hey, I am due to go in for my assessment soon and need help with the typing test. Does it need to be word for word or can i summarise the text? for example this is what i got down from one of the practice tests-

name is morris demonshire, reporting domestic abuse, his wife hit him in the face and gave black eye. Happened 4 times before. Must have been drunk and ran up to house and hit him. Called Selene, dark brunette curly hair, medium built. Come quick before she comes home from buying cigs and booze.

is that okay or would it need to be more detailed?

Thanks

Hello
Yes typing test needs to be word for word. Don’t worry too much about your spelling and grammar as long as you listen and type every single thing down you will be ok.
Good luck

During my assessment with Avon and Somerset Police, I was told the opposite. I was told that spelling and grammar were some things they would grade during the assessment and to be mindful of. It was in a Word document with the spell check turned off, but the incorrectly spelt words were still underlined red, so if you were a fast typist like me, you had time to go back and correct it as the playback on the headset was quite slow paced. Even hard to spell words like this weird street name I had wrong were graded and were one of the points taken off the final score.

Has anyone been through this process for the Met? Got my assessment on Sunday and had very little information on what's going to be taking place! Cheers in advance.

Hi - I have my assessment for the Met this coming Saturday and have no idea what to expect can you share your experience especially with regard to the typing test - do you need to type every word or just the relevant information?
Thanks
