I have started Russian at beginner level at uni and I am really struggling with Russian grammar and the cases. Can someone please give me some advice and links to any good resources?

I started Russian in March and so I know what you mean! What has helped me is reading in Russian (try the beginner Russian book by Alex Rawlings and co) and chatting with friends in Russian/ using Tandem.
