Maths problem

I don’t really understand how to do this question but I know that I have to do this using algebra:

Find the coordinate of D if you know that C is (3,5), that CD is 7 and that the x coordinate of D is 6. It is not suppose to be nice numbers and keep it all in surf form.
"Surf form", lovely Bunkerism there. You should also have sad y coordinate, not just coordinate, of D.

Think in terms of Pythagoras' theorem. And you'll actually get two answers - didn't the question say that?

I don’t really understand about CD, I don’t really know whether if it is the gradient number or..... so confused here

CD means the length of the line joining C and D, or equivalently the shortest distance between them.

Are you familiar with working out the distance between 2 points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2)?
