You don't need to be fluent for any of the courses they offer, the most they'll ask you for is A-Level French. However, even if you don't study A-Level French you can apply to certain courses. Look on their website to see what they offer.

I am looking at international politics which is taught in english anyway - was just wondering incase i needed french a level etc, thank you so much

No, you don't need French A-Level for IP. It might be a good idea to start learning the language now though, just to get used to it since you will have to create a French bank account, deal with the administration of the French government, rent an apartment, all that lovely stuff
is there a groupchat for applicants?

Yes I had mine for French and History a few weeks ago!
For me they started the interview in french and asked me question about the uni and Paris in general (why you want to study in Paris) then they asked me a bit about my personal statement and my interest in history.
The bit in English was just you asking questions

Honestly it's more of a chat than an interview.
They're really nice and a lot of it is just them telling you information.
My spoken French was terrible and I still got an offer, so just use it as a chance to talk about what you're interested in!

Good luck
