I'm 17, she's 15, should I go for it?

A girl in the lower school has started talking to me and I'm pretty sure she is interested. I like her but I'm not sure if at our age, the two year difference is toooo much. I mean, should I just wait until she turns 16? What do you think? Anyone been in a similar situation? Thanks.

Sounds like a major age difference but when u think about it 2 years is nothing! I mean you can always try a date or two and find out if you guys should go out cos could turn out she is completely immature and you guys have 0 similar interest
f there's fluff on the muff, she's old enough Does she have fluff? yes? go for it

I say go for it. It's not that much of a difference, my boyfriend was 17 when I was 15.
Well i am 15 and sort of like strongly a 19 year old... and it goes beyond that too so i think this is beyond plausible

oh god you're back again :frown:, he never mentioned intercourse or any other sexual acts, so technically he wouldn't be breaking the law.

just to ask, are you old in your year, and she young in hers? Normally at my school we have a "2 year" rule....seems like you fit into that.

I know many people who do this. A 2 year difference is nothing, but anything more and i think its too much. And for all we know she might be nearly 16 and the OP only just turned 17, which is only like a 1 year difference.
I know a few people who are 17 and have went out with 15 year olds with no problems.

Yes
But beware, that 15 year old girls can be extremely immature. Esp if there chavvy/hang around with chavs.

I wouldn't worry about that, thats nothing compared to some people I know!
And I also dated a 15yr old when I was 17, and although it was only just over a year difference in reality, some people still had a problem with it. But honestly she was the most mature person I've been with, more mature than the girls my age I've dated!

And as a side point, I remember looking at a study by Buss on relationships in A level psychology, which found that throughout the world, the average age of a woman was 2 and a half years younger than the man she was with! :p:

There's some boy in my year who's going out with a year 9/10 (I'm in year 13).

Meh, just go for it like.
No don't go for it
