Why is Wales so chavvy?

Why is Wales so chavvy? Whenever I go I just see the place heaving with chavs, much more so than in places like Birmingham or Manchester. I just don't know why Wales as a place seems to attract so many? I'm for herding up all the chavs in England, and 'deporting' them to Wales where they would be more at home (obviously erecting a secure border in the meantime to keep them there). What does everyone else think?

Everyone else thinks your stupid for propsing such an idea. I dont think Wales has any bigger a problem with Chavs than anywhere else in the UK, i think you have just ended up in chavvy area's in Wales.
I dont know why, but Charlotte Church springs to mind. Havent been to Wales for aeons though. I guess a lot of it is down to poverty, especially in the valleys. There are places like Rhyl and Prestatyn which are absolutely dire. Most of the South Welsh I find very chatty however which is nice
Brave man. If Charlotte Church reads this, she will find you & beat the **** out of you.
The parts of Wales i've been to have been rather chavvy, i remember going to one place in particular (forgot the name of it) and it was EXTREMELY chavvy.
You get chavs everywhere though, and i'm sure not all Wales is chavvy.
Because AngryJellyFish lives there. :ninja:

Mid Wales doesnt seem very chavvy to me. Much less so than the midlands.
Everywhere in this country is chavvy, to be honest I didn't find Wales any more or less chavvy than anywhere else. Although Hull had quite a few.. but no more than London! They exist everywhere, it's a fact :p:

Wales is quite a big place in case you haven't noticed (Y)
Because they just copy England, but like 5 years ago. I heard they get the Internet soon.

It's no more chavy than anywhere else...
wales varies greatly from place to place. we dont have any sorta inner city violence etc because our cities are such nice sizes - not too big not too small.

i dont think you can treat wales as one place as the valleys differ greatly with respect to cardiff/newport and mid wales and north wales and west wales.

Where about did you go?

Nu Ordah!!!!!!!!!!!!
Most of the South Welsh I find very chatty however.

Very chatty? Nice and sociable then  ? It's not suprising. The closure of the pits and industry hit the area hard and has created areas of deprivation (as is the case in many areas of England, north and south).

I love Wales and Cardiff, let me make that clear, but I can see where he is coming from (even if I don't agree). On first site cities in Wales, even the capital, may seem (what I think you southerners call) "chavvy". But that's just my first impression and (not that there's necessarily anything "wrong" with what many call chavvy people) most people (regardless of social class) are warm and inviting. More than in many areas of England.

I don't see them "swarming around" Wales more than anywhere else.

Oh god what a politician. Chavs 'warm and inviting' lol? Were you an endorser of Cameron's 'hug-a-hoodie' campaign?
