Report them to the police for intrusion. That'll get rid of them. Otherwise buy a spray and kill them.

Fruit flies? Yeah this is why you empty your bins regularly, especially if you happen to be going away for a while. Assuming you don't have some undiscovered rotting food (especially fruit) lying around anywhere, they should eventually die off not their source is gone. Maybe get some bug spray if you're really that bothered.

I don’t know how the police would feel about it but I am tempted...

Guess I’ll be going shopping then...

make some apple cider vinegar, they love that stuff and you can trap them and throw them out.

They'd be interested if Detective Bugs Bunny is working.

Yeah, definitely not a mistake I’ll be making again leaving the bin out for that long.
I’m going on a cleaning binge now to feel a bit more sanitary.

Fingers crossed they are.
I’m hoping that once I clean out everything. It’ll be ok.

Yes, he will accept payments in carrots, but they have to be a special kind... The number is 4190 and you have to say "What's up duck" when the call is answered.

Have they gone on their own now? Must have like 20 just now and am hoping I don’t have to make some crazy trap to kill them. What did you do?

Yeah they have actually, or at least I haven’t noticed them anymore.

I took the bins out, took all the fruits out into the fridge, all dry foods in a cupboard. Then I basically such cleaned up with kitchen spat everywhere.
I had some flowers there that I threw away.
I opened up the window and vacuumed and just made my place a bit more sanitary.
By the end of day, there were slightly less but there were still one or two just flirting around.
I’d go around and just shake up some boxes and check the bin to make sure they hadn’t gathered.
But yeah, a day or two later, there weren’t any I could see flying around.
There might still be one or two but as long as I’m not seeing them tbh.

I have left to come home again but I’ve taken out the bins+decayable stuff so fingers crossed.

And I also had an aloe Vera plant on the window that I took to the kitchen whilst I’m not there because they seem to gather around plants.
