Titration and concentration

A sample of 2.0 mol dm⁻³ acid has a volume of 100 cm³. What volume of water, in cm³, should be added to this acid to dilute the sample to a concentration of 1.5 mol dm⁻³?

66.7
Calculate dilution factor:
2.0/1.5 = 1.33333 dilution factor
If the concentration has been diluted by this factor, then the volume must also be diluted by this factor
= 100 x 1.33333 = 133.3
Calculate the difference in the original volume and the new volume
133.3-100 = 3.33
