When people claim to be spiritual or seek spiritualism outside of (orthodox) Islam - perhaps seeking it in dharmic spiritual movements, some strands of Sufism or claiming to be spiritual but not "practicing" - is this acceptable in the eyes of God?

Which sites have you tried so far?

Not tried any of these myself, but these are supposed to be decent:

- Pure Matrimony, Half Our Deen, Sunnah Match

Avoid:
-Muzmatch, Single Muslim, Minder etc

May Allah SWT bless you with a righteous spouse.

I can't tell from the ingredients if they are or not but I did come across the following website which seems to claim that they are:

None of the ingredients are Haram so it is Halal

Monitored conversations are good. My only concern is background checks - how do you verify the information someone gives you about themselves?

Alhamdulillah I’ve had a great experience on that site Alhamdulillah.

As to how the background checks are done is if you get your wali involved from the beginning and then they phone your potential up and ask him the information. Then potential then allows you to talk to their parents and then you can verify who the person say they are from there onwards.

Or if the potential has teachers friends etc you can check from their too sis InshaAllah.

If they’re looking to get married and the parents are aware what’s the issue?

And PM is not a dating site its a matrimonial site whereby your only intention is to get married should you find your life partner on there.

But that’s the thing, with matrimonial sites you’re probably going to spark interest considering the fact that people shine their profiles on there. Just depends on your instincts and how naive one can be to fall for it firsthand.

Verification is quite essential when it comes to matrimonial sites as not everyone comes across as they say who they are.

You know Khabib Numagomedov doesn't shake hands with women either, he politely moves his hand to his heart and says I respect women too much to shake their hands, or something along those lines. Why not use a tactic like that?
