Deloitte job simulation questions

I have the job simulation coming up and would really appreciate any help or advice from anyone who's sat it before e.g. what questions they ask or what to research beforehand (I applied to the summer vacation scheme for 2021 and it was for the tech sector)

I did my job simulation today. It was based on case studies and in all honesty there's not much you can do to prepare. Maybe brush up on your percentages. The questions are all based on your case study and how you would respond to the situations the case study/job presents.

Thank you! What were the video questions about? Or were they also relating to the case study?

Mainly relating to how you would respond to situations within the case study. Things like introducing yourself to a new team or analysing teams for overlapping skills. I think they are different for different lines though so it would depend what job you have applied for.

Thank you! Do you introduce yourself as a student or as if you have already taken up the role you've applied for? And how many attempts did you have

I'm not sure which is the right way to be honest. I spoke about how I would introduce myself and the things I would talk about. I wasn't entirely sure how I would introduce myself as the contextvwas you are already working there and switching teams so it was a bit tricky. You have one attempt for each question but there are some practice ones before you start.

Thank you so much!
Hi there! I just discovered this thread. I was just invited to a job simulation and I'm quire nervous about it. So should I be expecting tons of strength based questions and some numericals? Some emails to be written?

congrats! No there aren't any strength-based questions, just 5 video questions, some numericals and emails but the content will differ based on your service line

Thank you! Are the video questions based on scenarios and how would we react to it? Should I be expecting really tough numericals?
Thanks for the help!

The questions are situational to the case study, so how you would react etc. Numericals were fine, similar to those in the first assessment.

Thank you so much! So essentially just practice speaking in front of the camera? Anything else?

Honestly I think the main things are being confident with your maths and feeling comfortable with the camera. Maybe brush up on the core values/strengths Deloitte expect you to have so when you need to answer you can use those to help form your answer. There's not much prep you can do for this part of the process.

Alright thank you! good luck for your next stage!
