i want to study interior design at uni, and they prefer you to have an "art based subject at A level" so you can present a portfolio and stuff. i took textiles instead of art, because my dumb ass thought it'd be easier at the time lmao. do you think i could take art A level without a GCSE or do i have to take textiles?

At my school you are aloud to take A level Art without doing a GCSE in it. I don’t know if it’s different for all schools though?? Check to see if there are any requirement at A level

i think for most schools you're allowed to take a level art without having done the gcse, but they may ask for a portfolio of artwork. art isn't an easy a level, there's a lot of coursework to do which can take up loads of time. only take it if you're interested in it.

Yes you definitely can.Do you have examples of interior design ideas you have been working on?Also do some still life drawing in your spare time.Anything that is art or craft based will be useful to demonstrate you have interest and ability in subject,
