does anyone have any tips on how to revise properly for exams?

It varies from subject to subject and from person to person.
The best revision technique for pretty much any subject is past papers - as that is what you are going to actually have to do in the exam. These can be found on the Exam Boards website or on revision websites such as Physics and Maths Tutor.
Some people like mindmaps/flash cards for learning the content, while others prefer to make notes (this can be very time consuming), but ty out some different methods and find out what works for you best.
