So there's this one teacher at school who suggested i go for head girl as I would apparently fit the role well and i was all for it but now after talking to my friends about it i'm less keen should i go for it or listen to them as i value their opinions??

I mean it depends how much you want to put it on your CV or personal statement. Could be useful.

Hmmm I would think that peer mentoring would count for just as much as head girl as you’ve already shown you can take a leadership role etc etc, that’s what they like to hear apparently.
I think that your friends should know you well enough already, although if they do make fun then that’s a bit dubious.

Thanks I'll probably end up going for it as I want a good cv but I will explain to my friends and if they don't like it then things will have to change I suppose..
