So I'm in my third year at uni but because of Covid I have ended up spending most of my first term at home with family. Due to some unforeseen events I think it's probably a better idea for me to stay at my uni accomodation but have no idea how to get my stuff up there. Does anyone have any good/affordable man with van recommendations (or alternative suggestions). I don't have too much stuff, I'm just worried about damaging my computer on the way to uni...

How far are you travelling?
No friend with a car?
Cant you just ask around on your local forums, trust pilot, Gumtree, Google and look at prices plus rep?
Have you already paid for your uni accomm? Have you been there and made friends already?

Travelling from London to Scotland, no friends with car unfortunately. I have been looking around online and such I just wondered whether anyone had any advice in regards to reliable ones. I've already paid for my accom, there's no issues in regards to that but I don't really know anyone in the building and my flatmate isn't returning until later.

Can your flatmate puck up your computer and ship it for you . in the meatime survive without or a cheap laptop?
What is it you are trying to ship? How big a desktop?
You could diassemble it and take the parts up, then buy a case up there?
You could also have downsized your pc into a smaller form factor.

I think shipping will cost a lot even using shiply, although you can get quotes.

See if there are any ridesharing sites. Thing is if theres a car popol then they cna take you and the pc as well.
