Can I beat the bookies?

I'm just wondering like in the Uk here, we have around 30 different bookies and in America they have different?

So I can use their bookies if I run out from here.

However there is someone, Google: 'we made £400k in 18 months and live in a penthouse'.

I also read another article that they use offshore accounts.

If my accounts get banned, what can I do? I wonder how those two guys maintain there's.
"Can I beat the bookies?"

No you can't - don't be a silly billy

There is always "someone" - right upto the point you get to name/address & bank statements.

Yeah but how do those two guys in the article maintain their winnings for years?
"those two guys" - what two guys?

"the article" - what article, where. Has it been fact checked, does it have two independent sources?

"their winnings for years?" - what about the years they don't win?

Honestly; get a job in the Civil Service or better still your Local Authority's council tax department.

They win all the time, in the OP I quoted the article.

And what about Patrick Veitch? I heard someone else bet's for him or he has agents since he has won millions gambling before,

Have you read Patrick Veitch's autobiography? If not, then you should. Two things stand out: firstly that he is extremely intelligent, secondly that he is extremely hard working.

I have. After reading it twice I decided their was no point as I was hoping for his strategy and blueprint which he has some sort of advice in the back pages. Still a very good book. He has detailed his beginnings and the book has a diary of his winnings and who he went for.

I also have read he has a lot of variables he works with and watches re-runs. I have tried to back-engineer he thought processes but that would be hard.

He is banned by the bookies, but has agents I think he has recruited on behalf of him.

Nobody beats the bookies.

Bookies who now rely on highly skilled and educated professionals in the back office and make use of sophisticated technology.

Unless you've a Maths PhD probably not.

Ok I can survive on exchange sites as they would not really ban people and take commission.

However I think betfair virtual I may get banned as its not in the exchange?

bookies are in business because their customers lose money...

Professional gamblers do indeed use agents, or the accounts of friends and relatives to get money on. That can be risky as bookies T&C's can prohibit such activities.

I doubt that an exchange would ban you. Their sportsbook would be a different matter.

You are both right and wrong. A couple of friends and I exploited over-generous prices offered by certain bookmakers in certain markets for several years. We used a system of arbitrage so there was no risk at all. However, it gradually came to an end through a combination of being banned from every online account we could open, the bookies correcting their grotesque generosity in the markets we attacked, and software that meant that I couldn't get a bet on without it being referred to - and then rejected by - the traders.
To beat the bookies you have to think of something that they haven't thought of or in certain cases like horse racing research very hard to find out the likelihoods of certain outcomes, bearing in mind that the bookies are doing the same thing.
When I was younger I had the idea that one could win if the odds for all possible outcomes (such as 1/3 1/4) summed to less than a whole you bet proportionally on the outcomes and you're guaranteed to profit. I was right in thinking that but only if there was such a situation and of course the bookies don't let that situation happen rendering my hypothesising void.

They say if you can't beat them join them and that's the only way to consistently win (without a loophole that is). You make your own odds whether by setting up your own betting shop or preying on gambler's fallacy at a casino. That's the only way to win money.

If I get banned by all the online bookies, can I also get rejected opening an account on the exchange websites?

I don't know. I stopped having online accounts about 7 years ago. If you get banned by Paddy Power you might have trouble with Betfair because they are in the same ownership. However, there is no logical reason that Betfair should ban you given that they make money in a completely different way to a bookmaker. You won't know until you try.
