Does anyone have additional interviews for classics at St Benet's next week? Trying to figure out if not getting extra interviews means that St Benet's likes me lol

Hiya! I've just been invited to interview at Trinity on Monday. Feeling a little confused about it - it'll be the third college I've interviewed with and I've felt like all of my interviews have gone reasonably well. I heard from one of my interviews with the college I initially replied to that getting a lot of invites to different colleges is indicative that you've got a strong application, but not getting them also doesn't really mean anything, as long as you've impressed your original college. I would imagine they won't be contacting anyone who hasn't got any more!

Good luck. Which colleges have you interviewed with already? I’m the opposite - just interviewed by one college though felt both went ok....who knows?!!! Suspect it’s a good sign for you and you could always end up with the college you applied for originally!!!

Yeah completely agree we have literally no idea what's going on in their minds!! I imagine it's all part of making themselves ~elusive~. I've interviewed with Brasenose, my chosen college, and then LMH which was a really really fun interview, they asked me like my dream questions. I was told by Brasenose tutors that either way can be a really good sign and it could be for so many different reasons! I really hope I do end up at Brasenose, I'm kind of terrified of Trinity coming from a state school and knowing their stance on accessibility and diversity lol... which college did you get interviewed at? Hope it all goes well for you!

Hey all!!

I thought it might be nice to start a discussion about Classics and those applying to university to study it (as I haven't seen many threads!). I've applied to read Classics at Cambridge, Durham, Edinburgh, St Andrews and Reading (and I actually got an offer yesterday!).
Is anyone else doing anything similar?

I’m not applying for classics but I absolutely love the subject and have been studying it so I’d love to get to know some of the people studying it - especially if you’ll be down in London next year!

I have one interview with Univ today, another tomorrow and one with LMH for the second round of interviews. Not sure if I feel confident or not

Good luck! Hope it went well today and think positive for tomorrow - don't dwell on what has gone before. Which college did you interview with originally?

I was mainly questioned on the reading which I was worried about because it wasn't on one of my main areas of interest so I don't think I showed Full Enthusiasm, but I got asked some personal statement questions at the end so I'm happy about that.

How many interviews did you have bc I only had one?
