Did you receive the invites all at the same time or after you interviewed at St Johns?

I got the invite from Oriel on Friday, and St. Benets on Monday morning, both before either of my St John's interviews, but I think you can be invited to interview at another college until Friday, and there are more days for Classics interviews next week, so some colleges are probably just slower than others in pooling people

I just had both of my interviews today and was warned at the end of both that that could happen

Nope which is a bit worrying but we shall see by friday i guess

If you don’t get any other interviews that’s usually a good sign!

Yeah, I applied to St John's, I had one there on Monday and I have a second this morning, then this afternoon I have one at St. Benets hall and tomorrow I have an interview with Oriel, I'm really overthinking this and I'm worried that it means st john's definitely don't want

Just make sure u shine in all the other interviews. I’ve heard people get pooled and end up getting there first choice anyway.

Awesomedee - I’d understood that if interviewed elsewhere before Friday they’re not being pooled because first college doesn’t want them but because they’re strong and other colleges (the ones who don’t have so many direct applications) want to have a look too...pooling then happens from Friday onwards

Now I'm getting a bit nervous because I didn't have invitations to interview at other colleges lol. But it might also be because I made an open application and was already allocated to a less popular college.

Exactly. And not all candidates who are not interviewed by other collleges are not accepted.

...by their first choice. If that makes sense?

Thanks for your clarification. I applied to St.John's but had an interview with tutors from Regent's Park yesterday, which was like a nightmare... I was just wondering if my performance in the second college interview would affect my application. My interviews at St'John's College went relatively well. One thing that I found quite strange was that in my fourth interview, which was supposed to be a discussion on my language aptitude test (for Course II applicants), we only chatted about my personal experiences of learning different languages. I'm getting more and more nervous now because I'm afraid that they have already stopped considering my application seriously... I was also reminded today that I might receive another invitation on Friday...

They’d already tested your aptitude in the CLAT so perhaps no need to test further? Not necessarily a negative

Nope nothing. It is after the 2pm deadline now so I guess this means I don't have another.
I wonder if I should email my college just to make sure.

Many of the classics applicant haven’t received an email. I suspect that they only email those who will have additional interviews next week.

Hiya! I've just been invited to interview at Trinity on Monday. Feeling a little confused about it - it'll be the third college I've interviewed with and I've felt like all of my interviews have gone reasonably well. I heard from one of my interviews with the college I initially replied to that getting a lot of invites to different colleges is indicative that you've got a strong application, but not getting them also doesn't really mean anything, as long as you've impressed your original college. I would imagine they won't be contacting anyone who hasn't got any more!
