I need an assessment with a psychologist about a learning disability despite corona going on and I contacted the right people about it and explained everything in my email and they said that it sounds like I really do need an assessment but I need a referral from my GP and I shouldn’t expect her to refuse but I talked to her beforehand and she sent me to IAPT for my anxiety and doesn’t think I have learning disability. I was supposed to have a phone appointment with IAPT but they booked a date and time that doesn’t work for me so it has to be rescheduled and also talking on the phone is my weakness. How am I supposed to ask my GP and what do I say since I have another phone appointment with her on monday and I’m not really great at talking on the phone?
