The last question I saw about whether or not to go university was 6 years ago. Times have changed now such as corona etc. Some people tell me university is good to have as a back up and can help you in the long run but others tell me it is a waste of time and apprenticeships can help you make the same amount of money. I do not mind working hard and long for another three years but is it worth me being in depth? Due to corona everyone is mostly at home and on zoom calls with pre recorded lectures. I am always one to ask questions because I need one to one support. Is it worth me going? I also do not know what I want to pursue in the future but I do not mind giving education studies a go so I can see where to go from there. I need help as I am not sure whether I should do an apprenticeship or not!!

I’m in a similar position to you, have applied to university for accounting and finance while being in the process of securing 2 apprenticeships. When considering whether or not to go to uni, I think you have to see which line of work you want to go on, for example, some jobs require a degree such as medicine. However, generally a lot of jobs do not require a degree. Additionally, what kind of person are you? Do you enjoy socialising with people, do you feel like you need to experience the ‘uni experience’ or would you prefer to start an apprenticeship, start a business or travel/ volunteer? It really comes down to you as a person, however, whatever you decide you need to have a plan.

Hope this helps
