answer says Be, but why is it not H?

Helium has 1s2 electronic configuration. It has higher IE than hydrogen

Not sure why they put beryllium. Can you post whole question?

oohh sorry my bad
the exact question asks for the s blobk METAL with the highest first ionisation energy
so it makes sense now why they put Be, thanks tho!!
