Level needed for marine biology in uni

Hi!
So I want to study marine biology in university and im currently in Y12 doing the ib.

I don't know where I would like to study and really don't care about the country(somewhere with good marine biology) but I'm confused on what levels I need or should take in the science subjects needed for marine biology.

- I have standard level in maths(applications and interpretations).
- Standard in Environmental Systems.
- High level in biology.
- And currently chose high level in Chemistry.
I wanted to know if I need two higher levels on a science or if I could just do one higher and do chemistry standard getting a grade of around 5-6.

I know each university arks for different levels and grades but Im looking more for general information.

My question is if I really need to have chemistry high for marine biology in universities (not being specific) or if I could do it in standard level.

Thanks!!

I think most would prefer if not expect you to take two science subjects to HL, or else apply to a course with a foundation year (in which you would probably study the chemistry anyway). See for example Southampton's course entry criteria here: https://www.southampton.ac.uk/courses/marine-biology-degree-bsc#entry they clearly and specifically require two science subjects to HL (including biology).
You need to look at the entry requirements for various Universities - and if that isnt clear from their course pages, just email them and ask.

Plymouth (probably the best Uni in the UK for Marine Biology) - https://www.plymouth.ac.uk/courses/undergraduate/bsc-marine-biology

Portsmouth - https://www.port.ac.uk/study/courses/bsc-hons-marine-biology

St Andrews - https://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/subjects/marine-biology/marine-biology-bsc/
