Hi just wondering is there a new vet school that has opened - Keele Harper Vet school? Is it just as good as all the other vet schools and are they RVCS approved/accredited etc so would you get the same degree as you would in any other vet school?
Thanks

Harper Keele is new - it won't be able to receive accreditation until the first cohort has completed their 5 years of training. This was the same as Surrey a few years ago.I am sure they will be working very closely with RVCS to make sure that the accreditation goes through smoothly.

It doesn't have history of being a vet school unlike the others - however the resources they have are top notch. Harper is well known for producing fantastic Ag and equine graduates and they have loads of great facilities there - they have also taught veterinary nursing for a long time. They are not yet RCVS accredited/approved as they must have had 5 years worth of students for this but the RCVS are working with them to ensure that the final years will get an RCVS accredited degree and then the university will become RCVS accredited. I would strongly consider Harper as an option if I was applying now.
