Health problems at NTU

Hello, I’ve been diagnosed with something earlier this year (NOT a mental issue) and recently I’ve been struggling to keep up doing work for my project this year and my project at the end of 1st year. The condition makes me feel extremely tired, and now I can barely concentrate on 14 hours sleep, I constantly need more and more. Since the subject I do requires a LOT of work to be done every day to be on track, (and it’s creative, so it doesn’t take legit an hour to do, one task takes several hours) I am really struggling. I searched all over NTU but there only seems to be support for mental health which is really annoying. I have no idea where tf to contact. Could someone who goes to NTU help me out here?

Hi,
I have had similar. Talk to your PAT Tutor, send a email and arrange meeting (online I guess now). They will help you to contact the appropriate support - there is a medical and disability support team which can help make arrangements.
On struggling to complete work, I'd advise you search NTU NECs. This is a extension form for assignments. Keep any documentation of your medical condition (appointment letters, clinical reports, diagnosis), scan them and uploan with your NEC. I believe a standard NEC is a extra week or two, depending on what you need. You can get multiple if you have ongoing health issues.
Also, you might be entitled to Disabled Student Allowance for your medical condition, which can supply you with any specialist equipment you may need. The uni can advise you more on that though
Best of luck

No problem. I know it can be a little daunting since the uni doesn't exactly advise their services well  I hope you have got some kind of support in place, feel better and more confident with your studies as a result
