English Lang- 8
English Lit- 8
Maths- 6
Biology/Chemistry/Physics- 7 (for all of them)
Geography- 7
Arabic- 7+

I feel so let down by these target grades. My grades for this term was 5+ for maths and 7+/7 for English Lang/Lit. Everything else is the same as my predicted (target) grades. I've dropped from a 9 to 7+ in Arabic and I feel as though I'm not good enough despite managing to hit set 1 for everything.

I want to become a teacher, perhaps a Science or English teacher. Are these grades something to be proud of and work towards or do I need to beat myself up and work harder?

I think these grades are definitely good enough and you should stop being so hard on yourself. Most 6form want all or 5 GCSE at 4 or above which you’ve definitely met. Also, university expects very similar to A level. Of course, if you would like to specialise in a specific subject such as Science or English aim for the best grade you possibly can and I don’t see why you couldn’t achieve your goal of becoming a teacher.

Don't beat yourself up!! There's always some way you can work harder, but don't stress yourself out over it too much. A 7+ is still so good, and now that you've gotten your grades, at least you know what to work on. Identify your weaknesses and work on them so much, that you'll only have strengths. You got this, I believe in you!!

Beating yourself up over those grades is a bit excessive.
They’re good grades. Should you work harder? Yes, if you want higher grades. There is always room for improvement - even for grade 9 students.
