So I do an apprenticeship. I requested 3 days in work as I have a little girl and I do 1 day in college a week. With my work hours including my lunch and college included, its 30.5 hours which is ok. However, I don’t get payed for my lunches so then excluding my lunches my hours would fall to like 27 hours... so should I be doing the extra few hours? Seems a bit pointless.

Well, some companies pay for your lunch and some don't. I wouldn't add more hours. Stick to your hours and take care your daughter.

This is something you need to discuss and clear with your employer as its part of your contract of employment.
