I am interested in postgraduation from UK, and many universities have their minimum IELTS requirement standard set at 6.0 in each module, and overall 6.5. However, I do have 6 in each component and 6.5 in writing making it total of 6.0 overall.

Do I meet the criteria or no? I don’t get this 6.5 overall and 6.0 in each thingy? If one obtains 6.0 in all which they ask, their aggregate would be 6.0 anyways, then why have they written 6.5 overall?

Since they ask each component to be atleast 6.0 and I do have it — how is it possible to obtain 6.5 if one has 6.0 in each, why have they written 6.5 overall? Please help.

Just tell me is 6.0 in all acceptable?

I think they mean, atleast 6 in each component.
but they do require an overall band of 6.5 overall.

i agree its a pretty messed up system
even I'll be appearing for my exam on November 6 and after that I will start applying to the universities.

i would suggest you to directly mail the university to have a clarity about this.
