What does this mean?

Are you able to provide us with up to 5 years worth of continuous employment, educational or character references?

Are you able to provide references to show you’ve been in employment or education for up to 5 years? In other words, do you have the contact details of your old teachers or bosses from the past 5 years who could provide you with a reference?
