    Does any1 know if there is a difference between a 2 button suit and a 3 button suit? ie is there one type whick is meant 2 be worn at interviews, one type 4 wedding....?? Or is it just a matter of looking different??

    Just the number of buttons. A two-button jacket may have longer lapels and thus expose more of the shirt than a three-button jacket because there would be less buttons holding the thing together when done up.

    3 buttons are more common, and a 2 button stands out more so therefore im thinking 2 button.

    It's a matter of choice but generally 3 buttons is more every-day stuff and 2 buttons is more weddings etc as it's to show off your shirt...

    I don't think there's any difference in use. But remember that on a two-button you only fasten the upper button, but on a three-button you fasten the middle button. Okay, sorry, I know you weren't asking for that advice....

    The 3-button is more fashionable for everyday use, the two-button is still often worn for formal occasions

    I usually go for the 3-button suit and I always do up the top two buttons and leave the bottom as it is.
