We asked our Programme Convenor and he replied:

'The first year exams are non-threatening! We want all our students to feel happy, curious and supported - and to proceed successfully into the 2nd year. As the website indicates, they tend to be two-hour unseen exams, with a mixture of object analysis and essay questions. The weighting of exams to coursework varies; none of our options are based on exams alone.'

You are welcome to contact the convenor if you have further questions - his details can be found on our website
