BA Graduate GEM

I am aware there have been previous threads regarding this as I have researched it fairly heavily.
I am a Linguistics Graduate and for the past three years alongside my degree, I have worked as a HCA and support worker in a home for adults with mental health and severe learning disabilities.
I have really enjoyed this work far more than my actual degree leading me to get a 'desmond' (2:2)
I learnt that I work better when I do a mixture of hands-on and study (from my studies for work) I am planning to do a masters in Occupational Therapy and just wondered what hopes are there for me for applying to medicine after?
I am looking at applying in 2022 to Swansea, Nottingham, St Georges and Worcester (new medical school) as I will need lots of practice for GAMSAT as well as save up to fund part of the course and GAMSAT.
In the meantime, I have some interviews lined up for occupational health assistant and HCA assistant in a neurology as I would like some day-to-day hospital experience. The only hospital experience I have is emergency situations like when a patient toe was cut off and when someone collapsed (turns out they have pneumonia)
My problem is my GCSES grades are not great.
I scored highly mostly A* and A's but I had to retake my Maths. Will this negatively impact my application? With my Undergrad, I had to do a lot of maths and algebra as well as using maths daily in my job with medication administering so have overcome this but it still is a stain on my CV. My ex studies medicine so I am aware of the pressures. Why medicine? Go big or go home. I just think it sounds like something I want to do and I really fancy specialising in neurology as i really enjoyed the neurolinguistic modules.
