Hi guys,

I recently got my driving licence (but have a lot of experience of driving with a provisional). I really want to get my own (cheap) car and do some flexible work as an Uber Eats delivery driver.

I'm confused though -- on their site (https://www.uber.com/gb/en/deliver/) it says the only requirements to become a delivery driver are:

  • Be at least 18 years old

Required documents:1. EU/UK Driver's Licence
  • Front and Back

2. Bank statement
  • dated within last 3 months

3. Certificate of Motor Insurance
  • Must cover food delivery or hire and reward not excluding food delivery

However, in the US/other places it seems like one year driving experience (i.e. after getting a full licence) is a requirement. I can't find any details about it here though -- does that mean in the UK I don't need to have had my licence for 1 year?

Does anyone have any experience working for Uber Eats without having their licence for 1 year?

Thanks for all your help -- much appreciated

If it doesn't say it on the site, then its not a requirment.
