Hi all,

I'm just finishing off my sandwich year/placement CV for submission to the careers service, but there's one thing I can't decide on.

The careers page on Moodle says relevant work experience should be at the top because it will make you stand out (by some miracle I've got 3 bits of it to put on!), but both advisers I've spoken to have said education should be at the top cause I'm a student by definition, so somehow it's more important...?

I know this is quite a minor thing, but would love a second opinion especially from anyone who has experience writing these. Cheers

Hey there!
Well for placements I'd say it doesn't really matter! If you're applying to more academic places (uni, research institutes...) definitely education on top, for industry either works. When I applied for my placement year I had education on top - it's a fairly short section anyway (no extensive details needed, just main modules and grades average)
