I'm a law student studying the law of agency but I'm confused about the types of authority.
If someone has been left in charge of a business while the owner is away but makes a decision outwith their powers to contract with a third party, do they have actual authority because they have been left in charge? or apparent authority because the contract they entered into was not approved by the owner?
Any answers would be helpful as I am very confused! Thank you!
