What is it like living in Northern Ireland coming from England?

I have applied to Queen Mary Belfast and been accepted, at the moment it is my top choice of universities. However, I am a bit nervous to commit to moving off the mainland as I have no idea what the culture, weather and general experience is like in living in Northern Ireland. Can anyone who's made the move give me some insight? How has it been for you? What differences have you noticed? I live in the South of England if that helps
Hi Salmonrice,

I see that this thread is quite old so I hope it is still relevant. Also do you mean Queen's University Belfast?
If so I am in my final year at Queen's and since I moved over from London I have really enjoyed it, I don't want to leave yet so I have decided to do a masters here  It really isn't very different, some people struggle with the accent and your fry up will have a couple different things in it and people might order a different drink to back home but it is not scary or anyhting. Belfast is a great city, loads of fun, easy to get around and everyone is lovely. It is a bit rainy but so is London so can't complain.
Sorry for the late reply and hope you are still considering Belfast

Thanks,
