i just wanna share that it has been a year since I quit instagram. Why? Because it's full of crap. People showing what their picture perfect life is like (but yeah, some really had it good in life it's just that I know a lot of social media influencer wannabe), full of unrealistic beauty, full of plastics and all that was really affecting my mental health. The need to stood up to these certain standards and it's tiring me out so I quit and ever since then, I live peacefully without the nagging feeling of, "oh you need to post this" and the likes

I may sound insecure (kinda but aren't we all?)

Good for you. I don't really do social media for these reasons - good on you for recognising this. I wish you all the best for the future. Social media is good for communication but other people do use it to boast their lives which might not be as happy in reality as it is portrayed.
