What is BTEC sciences and A level fine art like?

I don't know about BTEC science, but A level fine art takes a lot of work (I finished it last year, got an A*), especially if you are aiming to get A* and/or a high acheivers award.
As well as aiming to do at least two sketchbooks (personally i would say to do more, i did 4), you need to do a personal study (essay of around 2000 words if i remember correctly), a 12 hour exam over two days and larger pieces outside your sketchbook. Bare in mind this is before conisdering the actual content of ur sketchbooks which need to show ur creativity and skill, as well as include a lot of writing.
