im confused as to how they got the values for 3 and 4??

the answers for the proabilites are 1- 0.28, 2-0.21, 3-0.28, 4-0.21

IMO, the answers are wrong.

From the given relationship, P(X=1) = P(X=4)= 0.28

Can you work out P(X=2), P(X=3) now?

The third line of the question tells you - when setting r to 1.
