biomedical sciences vs biochemistry?

I'm more interested in biology and medicine, but I don't want to do a med degree atm, so I am planning on doing biomed hopefully at ucl. I was also considering biochemistry- does anyone have anything to say about either degrees?
Hey I’m currently studying biomed! You say you’re more interested in biology and medicine so I’d suggest biomedical science! If molecular biology and real chemical detail ie how molecules interact on an anatomical level is your area of interest then biochem may also be of interest! However biomed is probably more similar to A level bio-an amount of chemistry is required but you’re not expected to remember the chemical structures for every amino acid for example whereas in biochemistry you would have to. If you’re interested in the effect of disease on the body and how that affects physiology and how it can be corrected with treatments biomedical science would be great for you!

thank you so much!
do you think biochemistry is more specialised than biomed? to me it doesn't really matter as im not sure what i want to do in the future as a career i just want to maximise my options as much as possible but also enjoy my course
i see- i think ive made my decision that i don't want to do a medicine degree- i genuienly don't have an interest to be a doctor but i am very interested in studying the human body/biology/chemistry which is why i thought biomed would be ideal but im having second thoughts on whether i should do biochem over biomed or not D:
thank you i will  i was initally willing to do medicine but what put me off was that i'd have to APPLY in sep 2021 for sep 2022 entry as the entry exams are cancelled this year (BMAT etc) and i just thought that since i wasn't /that/ passionate about being a doctor, sticking to a shorter degree would be a better idea.... what do you think?
