Hi! I absolutely love Italy. I’m taking a Gap year and this summer would love to hike the Italian leg of the Via Francigena. Wondering if anyone knows of or has any blogs/websites or personal experience about it as a route?

Advice which is partly based on my own personal experience. Where do you wish to go? Pack your things appropriately.
Also take along a foldable city map of the area. And buy some cans of high quality bug repellent and sun cream as well. Bring a pen, working camera and a plain notebook for recording names of nearby eateries etc.
Sun cream is also recommended in case. I would also invest in a small picnic basket which can be used on trips out. It might be a sensible idea to make some brief notes on hiring a car, which local companies are best to use and get recommendations. Purchase a nice outdoor tent online in advance. Look at company websites and read reviews online then call or email.

This is a handy article that you need to read as it has a lot more information and lists useful tips too. https://www.italiaoutdoors.com/index.php/hiking-tips
