I wanna study art at uni next year i was thinking concept art at leeds or to do illustration but not sure which ones are good

Hi there!

If you're interested in concept art and illustration, have you considered looking at Plymouth College of Art? We are an independent arts specialist college (teaching BA Hons Degrees, as well as Pre-Degree and Masters). We offer Illustration as a BA Hons degree, as well as a Game Arts and Animation degree, where you can specialise in concept art for film and/or games. I currently am in my third year of studying Animation and I have created concept art as part of the pre-production stages of some of my work - and if concept art was something I wanted to specialise in, then I can do that even on an Animation course as it is part of the industry pipeline.

There are also plenty of other creative courses that we offer, some of which you may not have considered yet! Feel free to have a look, and if you have any questions then you are more than welcome to contact some of our current students (or myself) via a website/app called UniBuddy.

concept art and illustration are quite different courses. It's important to pick between them before trying to apply for a mixture of both - a PS that isn't clear about your artistic interests is likely to be a red flag for any good course.
