Can't say that much about tax accountants and lawyers, but in terms of being a stable career I think it's a safe bet since not a lot of people go for the specialism compared to other areas. Consultants probably earn the most, and corporate finance is probably the most popular.
Private equity associates - can't say I know a lot about it, but it's ridiculously competitve and can be really risky. Having said that, they get paid ridiculous amounts.

I've heard qualified auditors can earn 6 figures, but they are being well compensated for the risk they are taking on. This also depends on which firm you're working for and the client you're taking on.

Corproate financiers can earn 6 figures with some firms, but it's mostly front end work, long hours, and very dependent on the deal going through. If the deal doesn't go through, you're stuck with the £45k per year, or £10 per hour i.e. no bonus.
