Is it possible to prove that the derivative of sinx is cos x without using the “derive from first principles method”. This technique isnt required by ial edexcel and i really do not want to learn it if i dont have to.

But first principles is how you prove derivatives! It constitutes the rigorous definition of differentiability.

If it is not in your spec then you do not need to know how to prove it.
