Hmmm your boyfriend's dad sounds jelous. As stupid as it may sound I think that is his problem - he can't stand seeing his son love and be with a girl? Correct me if I'm wrong.

I think you should definetly keep talking to your boyfriend about this and if possible, cause a scene in front of his Dad asking him what the ****** his problem is? I think that is the best way to get it out of him cause surely, something is up

Maybe he fancies you?
I would see if you can ask the rest of the family, they must have noticed something, see if you can get an answer (or even a clue) from them?
Hmmm, well i really hope something happens that allows you an answer, because no one deserves that kind of treatment. I really hope all goes well for you.

If he's always been weird around people then he's probably just scared of you rather than hating you. However, there is the possibility that he's just a jerk

Sounds like my dad :p:

i think it may be because you're black and his dad is from an older generation who may still hold disgusting racist views. remember, education is the best weapon against fear and prejudice

Ewww he sounds creepy! Like he secretly fancies you! Icky.

Ha yeah that's what I thought. Maybe he has some sort of fear of getting to know people and has somehow changed that into a fear of fancying you? *tries to amateur analyse him*

You could well be right. Except that I'm white. Other than that your theory holds water. :yep:

... his dad has never been civil to me. There seems to be no logical reason for this; I liked the guy at first and have continued to be friendly with him despite getting a frozen reception every time. He ignores me when I'm talking, cuts me off, changes the subject, even cuts my boyfriend off when he mentions me. ...It's increasingly becoming a problem as we're in a very serious relationship and my boyfriend obviously wants his family to be happy with me (which all of the rest of them are).
