“The conflict between reason and emotion is characteristics of writing by women” Compare the handling of this theme in sense and sensibility

If anyone could give a couple of pointers that would be so helpful

It is basically an essay talking about the difference between making logical decisions with and without emotion. For example, if your house is burning down, the logical thing would be to escape. But if you felt some emotion, you would try to alert and save your family.

I haven't read the book but you will probably find examples where the characters could have made decisions which logically, suited them better, but instead they were conflicted with some sort of emotion. I imagine the next part of the questions is a claim that maybe female authors cover these topics more than male authors?
