It's difficult to judge it right now with the pandemic but it has an excellent reputation especially with employers, I'd say it is focused on careers more than social life. Campus is fun, there's lots to do and it has a student community feel to it since most people are students there. In 2nd year you could choose to live in Coventry which has more of a city feel with lots of takeaways and different activities. Leamington Spa is another place to move which I'd say is much more affluent overall with clubs and cafes etc. The course itself is very interesting and allows you to specialise in what you're interested in, you could potentially have 80% of your degree from one subject. If you're looking towards banking and finance jobs you can focus on economics, Warwick has especially strong links with the big finance firms. Any other questions don't hesitate to ask.

im thinking of going into business marketing or some sort of job with a focus on economics; do you think i would be at a disadvantage to getting a job compared to those who take just econ? i'm worried that bc i chose to do epp, i'll find it harder to get a job in economics as there are students who have done a degree specialised in econ whilst i chose to do epp (which im most likely going to centre on econ and a bit of psych overall). i only chose epp bc i want to have a career in econ but i really enjoy psych and philosophy, im scared ive made the wrong choice :/

Business marketing is something that you would actually have an advantage in with this course, remember the course was designed for the new field of behavioural economics which is a massive part of marketing especially at places like google. The course is designed by tutors from the prestigious Warwick business school(some of the modules will be taught here), they are certain to have consulted their industry links as to the desire for it. The main job in Economics strictly is becoming an economist, this is an option especially since you can pick most of your modules from the Econ department, when applying to jobs that require a specific degree employers look at modules which you will have an adequate amount of econ, if you wish to further specialise in econ you can always do a Msc in econ as well, you will notice PPE student also taking this path. I hope this helps.

Do you know which industry links Warwick has? Or just which firms is Warwick well connected with to help access to careers?

No problem, I used to have the same questions then I spoke with employers, applied to different roles which made me realise that it really doesn't matter what degree you do, there's literally people with history degrees that working in investment banking which you can see on Linkedin. Uni brand matters, Warwick is among the top 7 in the country especially in business and finance roles. There are certain roles which require a decent level of maths which this degree will provide. Glad I could help in anyway.

thats really good to hear, you've gotten rid of my biggest worry which has been bugging me ever since i got my offer  also, slightly random question but which live chats do you suggest i should join? since there's none for epp but rather the subjects individually, should i go to all of them or just choose econ since thats what im going to focus on later?

As I said as long as you're interested in the subjects I would pick the course, alot of people pick subjects like straight econ and get the same job as people studying epp/ppe among other degree then regret not doing something they were more interested in. I would suggest joining the econ live chat as you may be able to find other students studying the same course as well as having similar careers in mind. I would also look into the Economics society as there are lots of PPE/EPP students there to. Best of luck.

Are any of the EPP lectures shared with straight Econ students or are they all separate EPP lectures? Also, how many lectures do you have to attend in person a week roughly?

A lot of the econ lectures and small teaching groups are shared with Econ/ppe and epp students. At the moment there are about 4 live lectures but obviously this is due to covid.
