Thank you so much  how are you?

Struggling, but OKAY.

Hope you're doing better, though.

I miss the OG’s man, so many cool ppl have left this site 🥲

Same here. TSR doesn't even feel the same without them anymore.

Literally like before I’d have a reason for coming onto the site, but now it just seems to have lost its community aspect.. it’s really sad tbh
sos to bother but do you have any wise pennies on getting into that A* bracket for biology or chemistry? 1 month left til exams, I've been working consistently at an A for these subjects but I'm not sure what I can do now to guarantee myself the best chance of getting an A*; I need at least one for my offer condition

How do you currently revise?

blurt anything i feel is blurtable, flashcards for common definitions. other than that a whole buttload of exam practice, for chemistry I'm already quite comfy with the content and have moved onto past papers (machemguy is my saviour). biology i'm still stuck on pmt qs, more confident on paper 2 then I am on paper 1 simply because I've forgotten quite a bit of the content and currently recovering all of it lol. I've also got a few essay plans and have done some essay practice but that sums up pretty much everything. obv hasn't included maths, I need an A in it and I think I can smash it out the park if I consolidate on my weaker areas

When it comes to getting adequate exam practice, I reckon the most important thing is that you treat the exam like the real thing. So: making sure that it is done under exam conditions, timed, no distractions etc. After you have done past papers for each of these three subjects; it’s important that you actually take some time to identify the questions you get wrong. Explore the topics in more depth and correct any errors now that you can. Repeat this up until you feel satisfied with the marks you’re getting but don’t fall into the trap of getting lost in the marks. Fall into a state of striving to improve.

Hey. @CaptainDuckie has shared some remarkable advices in the previous pages for similar questions; check them out! 👆🏼

Besides, if you've already hit the past papers then you must know your weak spots, so focus on that till you get them right.

You only have 1 month left...so
If I were you, I'd try to finish everything and stop myself with practices 2-3 weeks prior and instead focus on
1- go through every single thing I've done so far (loads of practice questions, flashcards, blurting, notes),
2- re-revise the correct answers for the mistakes I've done.
3- All while checking with specifications if I've missed any.

Remember to not panic and burn yourself to the point your brain short circuits during exam so yes take care and good luck!

Indeed. I wonder whose fault is that *glaring at TSR executives for not treating ecoliers and others better*
About the rest of us, I could only pray they're all doing well. It would be great if we all could reunite after 5/7 years or so, haha, although that's very unlikely.

@Ab33r has given you fantastic advice above, and as she said, I do have a record of advice on this thread you can have a read through

But, I would suggest that you focus more on your weaker topics and then do more questions on these. As you said realistically; there’s no point learning something you already know. Do more of paper 1 in biology.
I would suggest BioRach on YouTube to better understand concepts.

You’re on the right tracks though

I understand the night before the exam can be quite anxious.
Just trust in God and yourself for all the hard work you've done so far through out the year. Make sure you get enough sleep and stay hydrated. & Take the exam with a calm mind.
