My friend said that he might have forgotten to write his name in the igcse mathematics extended exam last month. I am just wondering if he would be penalised and get 0 marks?

I'm kidding. If he put his candidate number on he should be fine. But that's a massive error and he shouldn't do it again

But if he didn't include any personal information will the examiner try and find his paper, or will they give an automatic 0?

Do you mean that he didn't include any information at all ? No candidate or centre number? Those are usually the only details you need...
