you can stop them from using the phone to make calls/texts; call the network operator.
i dont think you can stop them looking through it :s-smilie:

Haha incriminating photos eh?
"Your friend", eh?

Call your network provider (o2, orange, vodafone etc) and ask them to block the phone so no one can run up a big bill.

if you had a samsung phone with a code-lock (eg you needed to enter a password every time you tried to access messages/photos etc), then these can't be accessed by anybody.

If your friend didn't have anything like that...there's nothing anyone can do to stop anybody from looking through everything. The best you can do is to block the phone so they can't make phone calls/send messages on your bill

Ahh right so she cant just disable the handset.

And no as far as i know the photos/videos were not incrimnating (quite a rude speculation to make if you are serious), she dosnt have a facebook etc and just enjoys her privacy i'd imagine.

Thanks for the help anyway TSR!

I thought they disabled it through the phone's imei number (cannot be changed) thus no sim cards can work on it. Not entirely sure

You can disable the phone, when mine was stolen tmobile blocked it. I definately know it's possible because as I rang them off my step fathers phone they got confused and blocked his, and you couldn't do anything at all with it, even when we put a new sim in.

As far as i know its a Vodaphone Pay as you go.

Not sure on what handset model it is, but it's a very popular one although not relatively new.

It's worth ringing vodaphone and checking it out, because it's possible to do, I'm not sure wether you have to register with vodaphone when you activate the phone, if you do then there will be no problem, if you don't she will need the IMEI number which will be on the back of the box if she still has it

well, when you get the phone, you should look into the 15 digit universal code, and note it down some where, if it ever got stolen or lost, just contact the provider (nokia, LG or what ever you use) and request them to lock your phone, then the phone will become a useless piece of metal....
try to type in

* # 0 6 #

to your phone, and see what happens
also i think if your phone get founded and returned to the police or what ever, they will look into the number too, trying to find the owner etc, not sure if this is true thou

Hey!

My frineds phone got stolen and she wants to know how she can block or jam the system (or so to speak) so no one can see her pictures/Videos. Is this even possible? If not is there a way she can atleast delete or "block" the numbers.

Please dont remove thread.

Thanks!

Why doesn't she have a passcode for her phone?
